    A Bit Off Topic:
Thank you Tugs for not shopping on “Black Friday” and being totally against it lol.
I have worked graveyard shift at Walmart the last three years and this year they started the event at 6pm.
So instead of coming in at 10pm like I normally do, they made us come in at 5pm.
So on thanksgiving morning I got home from work at 8am, went straight to bed, woke up at 3:30pm and left at 4pm so we could get a parking spot. This was the same for almost everyone else on my shift. We have no choice in the matter, even if it’s against our availability agreement to work on Thursday, they make us come in anyway, and if we call in, they threaten to fire us (not sure if they really do or not, because no one has wanted to test it.)
The work load isn’t hard compared to what we normally have to do overnight, and the pay is really good (for retail), so I can’t complain, BUT we did not get a Thanksgiving; just some cheap, dry, tasteless slop that they try to pass off as “a thanksgiving meal” at work.

People think we have time to spend with our families before going to work, but we don’t because we have to get some sleep if we want to survive the long shift.

I wanted to slap everyone who was in there shopping and waiting in line at 4pm instead of spending time with their families and friends, because I would give anything to have been able to.

So yeah…. Black Friday is shit and thanks for standing up for the retail workers on the podcast! <3

Just a note to anyone using an Anti-virus or something, if you can’t get into the comments section, you have to add Furwhatitsworth to the exceptions so that it will let the comment section load, lets you wonder forever why it is not working.

Thank you guys for helping me, and thank you for reading my letter, and the applause, I was having a bad day when I listened to your podcast and you made me feel so much better. Hugs to all of you.
